About Vibha

Namaste! I am Vibha Tewari, a Hindi teacher. I have an incredibly strong grasp on the Hindi language, since I am a native Hindi speaker, have written Hindi poetry and dialogues for TV shows, and also narrate Hindi bedtime stories for children through my podcast. I want to use this breadth and depth of my understanding of the language to help students of all backgrounds and needs. I have taught students with ages ranging from 6 years all the way to 20 years. I have taught students from various educational boards (such as IB) who need support with Hindi exams but I have also taught Hindi to students who are just looking to casually learn a new language for their profession, as a new hobby, to support tourism in India, or to get in touch with their culture. Working with students is highly enriching and gratifying for me and I learn so much in the process of teaching. I look forward to supporting you in learning the beautiful language of Hindi!

About the lesson

I focus on making my online lessons as engaging and personalised as possible by incorporating open discussions and use of annotations/whiteboards and encouraging questions from students. In my experience and based on feedback from my students, using fun quiz formats and exercises to gamify the process of Hindi teaching has also been highly effective.

I am open and willing to teach students with a variety of needs, whether it is additional support with formal school-based Hindi education and exams, or students who just want to learn everyday Hindi for their profession, as a new hobby, to support tourism in India, or to get in touch with their culture.

To personalise lessons for each student, I like to start off by establishing their purpose and specific goals when it comes to learning Hindi, as well as exploring how best they learn. I then work towards planning lessons that are most relevant to the student and cater to their personal needs and preferences.
