My name is Carrie and I am so excited to begin helping you with Spanish! I am a creative and enthusiastic individual with 5 years of experience and dedication helping students of all ages master the Spanish language.
I lived and worked in Madrid, Spain for over 3 years, teaching and tutoring, completing a Spanish masters program, and receiving a C1-level Spanish diploma certifying my highly advanced proficiency in Spanish.

I am a creative, passionate educator with over 5 years of experience tutoring/teaching Spanish who loves to make learning experiences fun and memorable! I am quick to identify students' intelligence level, learning style, and character traits, resulting in successful development of lesson plans tailored to individual strengths and interests.
I make sure to utilize a wide variety of materials and methodologies in order to meet the needs of each individual student. For example, I include flashcards, games, speaking activities, videos, songs, review materials, stories, and more in order to provide the most enjoyable and engaging lessons for everyone!
My end-goal is always the same: help my students reach their goals and allow them to feel comfortable and confident speaking a foreign language.
What sets me apart is my unique experience living and working in Madrid, Spain for 3 years. I understand how Spanish-speaking children learn English and how English-speaking children learn Spanish; this understanding of linguistics in both languages means I can anticipate mistranslations and better understand how students process foreign languages.
I offer Spanish lessons to people of all ages and levels, whether you are a beginner interested in learning the language for fun or in an advanced class needing extra support.
