About Angie
My academic journey is deeply rooted in public health, environmental health, epidemiology, GIS, and geography, with a BS in Public Health, an M.P.H. in Environmental Health, and an M.S. in Geosciences in Geography from Georgia State University. I also hold a professional certificate in GIS! My research has primarily focused on environmental exposures, especially concerning drinking and well water quality and their impacts on community health, underlined by a dedication to environmental justice, urban and regional planning, and chronic disease epidemiology. I have explored the intricate connections between soil, air, water quality, and public health. My academic contributions have been recognized with numerous awards.

I am currently pursuing a dual Ph.D. in Geography, Environmental Science, and Policy at Michigan State University. In addition to my research, I have extensive experience in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, quantitative analysis, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, manuscript writing, and research and thesis formulation, which I have applied in various teaching and professional roles to advance educational goals and initiatives.
