About Dom

Ich unterrichte seit über zehn Jahren Deutsch und habe schon hunderten Lernenden geholfen, Prüfungen zu bestehen und Ziele zu erreichen, bei denen sie vorher dachten: „Das schaffe ich nie.“ Als offizieller Prüfer bringe ich dir nicht nur die Sprache bei, sondern auch die Strategien und Prüfungstechniken, die am Ende wirklich Punkte bringen.

Mein akademischer Hintergrund liegt in der Psychologie, und ja – ich habe gleich zwei Promotionen in diesem Fach. Das heißt: Ich weiß nicht nur, was du lernen musst, sondern auch, warum dein Gehirn manchmal lieber streikt. Motivation, Selbstvertrauen, Frust und Selbstzweifel gehören dazu – und wir kriegen das gemeinsam in den Griff.

Ich bin zweisprachig aufgewachsen (Deutsch & Englisch) und selbst leidenschaftlicher Sprachenlerner. Aktuell kämpfe ich mich durch Spanisch, Arabisch, Chinesisch und Russisch. Ich kenne also das Gefühl, wenn Fortschritt sich langsam anfühlt – und wie gut es ist, wenn plötzlich alles klickt.

Mein Unterricht ist individuell, maßgeschneidert und zielorientiert – kein Standardprogramm, sondern genau das, was du brauchst.

I’ve been teaching German for over ten years and have helped hundreds of students pass exams and reach goals they once thought were impossible. As an official examiner, I don’t just teach the language itself — I show you the strategies and exam techniques that actually make the difference.

My academic background is in psychology, and yes — I hold two PhDs in the field. This means I understand not only what you need to learn, but also why your brain sometimes decides to resist. Motivation, confidence, frustration, and self-doubt are all part of the learning process — and we’ll work through them together.

I grew up bilingual (German and English) and I’m also a passionate language learner myself. I’m currently tackling Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian, so I know exactly how challenging — and rewarding — language learning can be when progress feels slow and then suddenly clicks.

My classes are fully bespoke: structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to you, your learning style, and your goals — no one-size-fits-all lessons here.

About the lesson

Ich helfe dir dabei, wichtige kommunikative Fähigkeiten im Sprechen, Hören, Lesen und Schreiben aufzubauen. Gleichzeitig verbessern wir deine Sprachflüssigkeit und dein Grammatikverständnis, damit du dich im Alltag sicher und wohl mit wichtigen Redewendungen ausdrücken kannst.

So arbeiten wir im Unterricht:

- Strukturierter Unterricht mit offiziellen Lehrbüchern und Arbeitsblättern
- Themenbasierte Gespräche, um spontan sprechen zu lernen
- Gezielte Ausspracheübungen, damit Muttersprachler dich gut verstehen
- Kurze Videoclips aus Nachrichten, Unterhaltung, Wissenschaft usw. zur Verbesserung deines Hörverstehens
- Kurze Texte zu Kultur, Reisen, Arbeit, Essen u. v. m., um dein Textverständnis zu schärfen
