About Brittany
I graduated from Oral Roberts University with a major in Theology and a minor in Psychology. I went on to get my certification in ESL and have taught students in Uganda, Kenya, and Zambia. From there I went on to get a Masters in International Community Development, studying the educational approach taken with children in refugee camps. From there I returned home, taught Ore-K and went in to join a no -profit in reaching our community with affordable, professional tutoring services. I have worked there for 5 years and continue to enjoy partnering with the center and teaching students from age of 4 to adult learners the beauty of English.

I love the process of learning and enjoy making complex ideas simple! It is my joy and mission to discover how my students think and help them discover English from their own unique perspective. I believe education is an adventure awaiting to happen, and I am always excited to begin that journey with the student.
My lessons are structured around the unique difficulties the student may be facing. If it’s phonics, than we will systematically go through the phonetic rules of English, braking down complex words to increase fluency and vocabulary simultaneously. If it’s writing, than we will incorporate the reading in the process, studying written structure and applying it to our own writing format. Whatever the focus, I will always make sure sessions are built on one another so that confidence is built and efficiency gained.
