About Cristina
I am a very responsible and hardworking Foreign Language faculty with excellent
communication skills and a wide experience as a coordinator, coaching
ESL/ESOL/GED instructional strategies, in the field of ESL ESOL/TOEFL/Spanish teaching
and language interpreter. Legal documents (English/Spanish) translator , Michigan
test and the American Language Institute of Georgetown University (ALIGU)
proficiency exam administrator, as well as curriculum designer, demonstrated by
14 years of teaching for the American Embassy from Venezuela and 3 years of
department coordination experience at the oil and gas company school system.
High degree of fluency in Spanish (native tongue) and English; Specialized in
foreign language teaching program including High School, college and adult
continuing education university courses. Extensive professional experience of 3
years in Houston College and university language programs in Miami.

I have been teaching for more than fourteen years, not only inside schools but also administrating adult courses, in company courses, and tests administrator such as placement tests, Michigan test and the American Language Institute of Georgetown University (ALIGU) proficiency exam.
On the other hand, my 12 years of Spanish and English teaching experience , has required me to implement different teaching techniques that include TPR, music, video, art craft, games and new technologies, adapted to the needs of each students group. As a result, my classes are designed so that students discover how a foreign language works in a fun and enjoyable way within a multicultural atmosphere, which ultimately allows them to use the acquired language accurately.
I would always use my expertise as a foreign language teacher not only to get my students using correctly the target language, but to make them critical, collaborative with people around them and respectful of international cultures.
