About DOLORES
I have been a teacher for more than 30 years, before retirement. I am permanently certified in Florida and New York.
I have taught ESL for most of my teaching experience.
I have also presented at the TESOL conference, for 5 consecutive years, in San Jose, Costa Rica.
I have very much enjoyed teaching ESL.

My lessons are planned following a pattern and modified as needed:
-INTRODUCTION: Overall explanation of what is expected of the student to have learned at the end of the lesson.
-DEVELOPMENT: Elicit and build upon student's background knowledge and interest.
-ACTIVITIES: Comprehensive, to include all four language learning skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and speaking.
-CLOSING: Review of lesson. What was learned? Are there any present difficulties?
-HOMEWORK: Extended learning based on the lesson.
