Hi! I'm Luiza. I'm 35 years old, and I'm an introvert who loves to meet new people. As someone who has both studied and taught languages for most of my life, I understand that learning a new language is a journey that requires mutual time, patience, and commitment. I have taught English in Brazil, Ukraine, Bolivia, the USA, and Canada, and have had the pleasure of working closely with groups and individuals, from beginners to advanced levels of fluency. I employ a range of traditional and progressive methodology, while emphasizing the importance of experiential learning. I have used approved textbooks and material, but also enjoy creating tailored material to meet individual learning needs.
In my three years of experience, I have worked with working professionals, university students, teenagers, and children. I strive for excellence, and want you to succeed.
A typical lesson plan encompasses some vocabulary, grammar, conversation, and a practice exercise (listening to songs or a video, playing a game, etc). Everything is done at a pace commensurate to the student(s) skill and comprehension levels.
