About Drew
I am an English tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s in English for Academic Purposes. Teaching English as a second language is more than a profession for me—it’s a passion. I love helping learners explore language through cultural immersion, using discussions on travel, traditions, customs, and global topics to make lessons engaging and meaningful. My approach focuses on building real-life vocabulary that students can use immediately, while also developing cross-cultural understanding. I work closely with adult learners, expats, and curious minds who want to communicate confidently in English and connect with the world. Lessons are interactive, dynamic, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether for work, study, or personal enrichment. My approach to teaching English is friendly, practical, and focused on helping students succeed in real-life situations. I create lessons that balance reading, writing, speaking, and listening, so learners can feel confident in every skill. Listening comprehension is another key focus, with activities designed to improve understanding of everyday conversations, lectures, and workplace discussions. I support students in building vocabulary, mastering grammar, and using sentence structures with ease. Each lesson is structured but flexible, allowing time for questions, practice, and review. I work closely with immigrants and newcomers, helping them adapt to new environments and express themselves confidently. Academic learners also receive guidance tailored to exams, essays, and advanced language skills.
