About Kaleb

I am an experienced electronic music producer and performer, with over 10 years experience DJing and showcasing my own music to audiences in various settings and environments. I specialize in bass music and drum and bass, but have a versatile background and skill set acquired over several years of artist development, that has applications across any style or genre of music production. My current music project, launched in 2024, quickly gaining attention from the underground experimental music scene across Australia, with several club and festival bookings, as well as tracks signed to Kinphonics (Brisbane) and a collaborative Vinyl release with Wonkay Records (International).
I am passionate about supporting you on your music journey, sharing with you the tools and techniques I've picked up on my own path, to get your song ideas finished, release-ready and performance-ready!

About the lesson

As an electronic music producer and performer with 10+ years of experience in music production and performing DJ sets in various settings, I have a deep passion for sharing my skills and knowledge, working with people to develop their interest in music and growing their confidence in their creative journey.

Whether you're an experienced live musician looking to develop your own sound within a digital audio workspace, or just starting out in your interest in electronic music, I am keen to work alongside people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests in music.

What I offer:

Online sessions using a range of software depending on our workflow, including discord/zoom calls, screen sharing, and chrome remote desktop to control your Ableton session so we can work in the program together
Music Production lessons:
-Introductory call, working with you to determine your goals, where you are at, what you would like to gain from working with me, and how we can work together to develop an ongoing mentorship that meets you where you are at.

- Intro course in Ableton Live, focused on the fundamentals of electronic music production, learning the skills to turn ideas into realized projects in any style or genre. Modules of the course include
*Navigating the digital audio environment
*Starting ideas
*Understanding the rules of electronic music by genre
*Fundamentals of music theory (scales, rhythm, harmony)
*Song production (composition, arrangement, track structure)
*Mixing
*Experimental tools and techniques for idea generation
*Sound development and creative vision
*Finishing tracks
*Releasing music (self-release, label submissions)
*Creative philosophy and the artist mindset

- 1on1 focused sessions, working with your specific goals to build confidence in developing your creative craft.

DJ Lessons:

-Beginner DJ fundamentals, understanding different DJ software, gear, sourcing music, mixing techniques, and building a DJ set for specific environments and events. We will work together to demystify the process of DJ performances, and understanding how to perform, building your confidence to create unique and interesting music journeys before even touching a DJ controller.
