About Tiru
As a Piano tutor with 17 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students discover the joy of music. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals through lessons that are engaging, structured, and focused on individual growth.
My teaching philosophy emphasises continuous improvement, positive encouragement, and personalised learning. I strive to create an environment where students feel motivated to learn and confident in their abilities.
My lessons include piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. I also help students develop effective practice routines that encourage long-term success.
Apart from Piano instruction, I teach keyboard skills and foundational music theory. These additional subjects strengthen overall musicianship and help students understand music more deeply.
My goal is to help students build confidence, improve steadily, and develop a lasting appreciation for music. Seeing students grow and succeed is the most rewarding part of my teaching journey.

My teaching philosophy is based on communication, creativity, flexibility, and supportive guidance. I believe learning piano should be an exciting experience where students build confidence through steady progress and enjoyable lessons.
Students first master posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These skills prepare them for scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, expressive playing, pedal techniques, sight reading, and confident performance.
I teach through practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and regular practice sessions. Students are encouraged to ask questions, understand musical ideas, and apply them while playing. Continuous feedback helps students improve naturally.
Students explore different musical genres while developing creativity through improvisation, accompaniment, and performance activities. These experiences encourage confidence and musical expression.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, rhythm development, ear training, music theory, sight reading, performance preparation, and music appreciation. These related subjects help students gain complete musical knowledge.
My objective is to create motivating lessons that help students achieve their goals while developing discipline, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.
