About Oluwatosin

As a qualified Business Studies tutor holding a PGCE and QTS certificate, I bring a wealth of experience to my role. I have provided tutoring sessions to students both within and outside of the UK. Before embarking on my teaching career, I ventured into entrepreneurship and successfully started my own business while at university. Drawing from this first-hand experience, I incorporate it into my tutoring sessions as a valuable case study alongside other businesses. This practical experience enriches the theoretical aspects of business teaching, offering students a well-rounded perspective. Furthermore, my tenure as a classroom teacher has honed my ability to plan and prepare engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students. I leverage my experience to create dynamic learning environments where students are motivated to participate actively and excel academically. I specialise in teaching Business Studies for the following exam boards: AQA Edexcel GCSE Edexcel A-levels Pearson BTEC Nationals.

About the lesson

As a tutor delivering business studies lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, I prioritise creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for all students. Understanding the diverse needs of learners, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL), is central to my approach. This enables me to tailor unique and personalised lessons for each individual. My lessons follow a structured format, typically starting with a stimulating starter activity to grab students' attention, followed by the main lesson content. I ensure active participation through interactive elements. A plenary session wraps up the lesson, reinforcing key concepts and providing an opportunity for reflection. At the end of each session, I assign relevant tasks or assignments to reinforce learning and prepare students for future lessons. Incorporating past exam question papers into my teaching is a vital component. This allows students to familiarise themselves with the exam format and understand how questions are framed. By practising with past papers, students gain confidence in their exam-taking abilities and develop effective strategies for responding to different question types. This approach not only enhances subject knowledge but also equips students with the skills needed to excel in assessments. I specialise in teaching Business Studies for the following exam boards: AQA Edexcel GCSE Edexcel A-levels Pearson BTEC Nationals.

It was a real pleasure teaching Clive’s children Business Studies. I had the opportunity to work with his daughter, who was in Year 13 studying Business Studies IGCSE, as well as her twin brothers in Year 10. His daughter was attentive, engaged, and always approached lessons with a positive attitude. Teaching the boys was equally enjoyable. They were curious, enthusiastic, and made each session lively and rewarding. Thank you Clive for the opportunity to teach your wonderful children.

Deadly! Oluwatosin taught my son business BTEC level 3 marketing and finance units. She is great. Can quickly spot where the student is struggling, needs guidance and can boost confidence quickly.
