About Fitzroy
My parents are from Jamaica, but I was born in London and now live in Kirkby near Liverpool in the UK. Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking in the countryside. I am also a committed fan of Liverpool Football Club. So, if you follow English football, we can chat about what is going on in the English Premier League, and who is going to win the World Cup. I also have A-Level certificates in French and German, so if you are interested in learning either of these languages alongside my other subjects, I can help you with.

I think that teaching is something that can be really fun, and I have been involved in various aspects of the profession for over thirty years. I use the most advanced teaching strategies to ensure that each of my students achieves excellent learning outcomes. I have been trained to use the most modern and dynamic Evidence-Based Teaching techniques developed by Geoff Petty. For English language teaching, I am a strong advocate of Total Physical Response, which is based on the coordination of language and physical movement. I like to give students instructions in English together with engaging body movements, and students respond in kind with appropriate repetition and fun whole-body actions.
