About Marialena
I graduated with Distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts (Hon). I majored in English Literature and Environmental Ethics, with a minor in Philosophy. This was followed by my master's degree in Environmental Studies at York University (a two-year program including thesis). As well, I completed my TESL certification at CCLSC in Toronto.
I have several years tutoring and teaching experience. During my post-secondary education I honed my advanced writing and editorial skills. I love to share my knowledge and experience with students, and to continue learning from and with them!

I base my teaching methods on my TESL training and experience. As well, I draw on my academic experience. However, I let my students' needs and goals guide the material we cover in class. As such, we can approach subjects with both structure and flexibility, as needed.
