About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around creating a positive, supportive learning environment where each child feels encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to fit their unique learning style, pace, and needs.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a mix of interactive, hands-on activities and structured practice to keep students engaged. I incorporate visual aids, games, and storytelling—especially for younger learners—to make lessons fun and meaningful. I focus on building foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, while also encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.

I also integrate gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement to boost confidence, especially for students who may feel frustrated or behind. For bilingual learners or those learning Spanish, I can provide basic language support to help bridge any communication gaps.

Typical Lesson Plan:
• Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): A short, fun review of previous material to activate prior knowledge.
• Main Activity (30-40 minutes): Focused instruction based on the child’s current needs or schoolwork, using custom exercises, visuals, and interactive tools.
• Practice & Review (10-15 minutes): Guided practice followed by review questions or a game to reinforce learning.
• Wrap-Up (5 minutes): A brief summary of what was learned, feedback, and a preview of the next session.
