About Olivia
I am an MA graduate from the University of Leeds with a BA in languages. I moved to France at a young age, and was mainly educated in the French education system. I have therefore learned many foreign languages as a native English speaker, and I can use the tools I was taught to teach others. I have over five years of experience teaching French as a foreign language, and I especially attempt to make my teaching environment relaxed and welcoming to put all students and ease and encourage them to love language learning. I have studied several foreign languages, including French, German, Spanish and Arabic. Through this first-hand experience of foreign language learning, I can better understand the struggles language students face. I work with the students and their needs, wants, and personalities to make the lessons as individual and engaging as possible

In my teaching sessions I work with the student and their immediate and long-term needs and goals. I accompany school syllabuses or other systems a student may follow to best enhance their learning in my sessions and other teaching they may follow. I personalise my lessons to the best of my ability to create engaging, focused, individual, and effective lessons for all students. I have experience teaching students of all levels and ages, and I adapt to the needs and wants of each to deliver the best outcome. My lessons incorporate a mix of grammar and vocabulary instruction, as well as focused learning of different language skills: writing, reading, speaking, and listening.
