Emilie was my teacher in an intermediate French class last year & for a private lesson in the first part of this year.
My conversation & grammar improved over that period & I really enjoyed Emilie’s lessons
She always tries to make the lessons relevant & fun & is keen to ensure that she is teaching things that you want to learn & are interested in.
It helps that Emilie speaks both perfect French & English as her explanations of things are very clear

Emelie is an excellent teacher - she was my French teacher for three terms at the Alliance Francaise in Melbourne (A2.4-A2.6) - and I write as someone who has spent part of their career mentoring teaching staff at Monash University. She had a tremendous empathy for the quite complex range of linguistic talents and general experience she had to cope with among her students. Every class was very enjoyable, but I was impressed to see how she also managed to get through the curriculum, keeping people focused (well, most of the time) on learning what they were supposed to be learning. I certainly learnt a great deal and gained a lot of confidence in French from her supportive and encouraging approach. She's bi-lingual, so you get jokes in two languages. I am happy to recommend her to the community.

Emilie was my French teacher for 18 months, until my travels got in the way. She is one of the most encouraging teachers I have ever worked with. Her lessons were varied, and flexible, so if more work was needed on a topic, that happened. In addition to explaining what is required, she has a wonderful ability to explain why. Her sense of humour and lightness of touch is delightful. I miss her guidance and her ability to make lessons stick, and hopefully one day I will be one of her students again.

Emilie is sensational and I have been lucky enough to have her as my teacher for the past year and a half. Every lesson is met with new ways to challenge you and to keep you laughing the whole time. From not knowing a word to blitzing through the A1 test in under a year is her true testament to her teaching methods.
