About Rose
I completed a TEFL course in 2007 (TESOL accredited with 6 hours observed teaching practice), and in 2012 graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in French and Hispanic Studies. I have taught English as a Foreign Language over a number of years and in a variety of contexts, from international language schools in South Africa, to secondary schools in France, to private tuition to adults and children in Spain, to classes of up to 30 under-tens in Zambia, to designing and running an intensive English language course to 3 young teenagers in Wales.

I am a resourceful, creative and hard-working teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I am passionate and deeply committed to my students. My approach to teaching is to prioritise variety in my lessons, to be highly prepared, and to establish real connections with students in order to affect a student-centred experience. Since completing a TEFL course in 2007 (TESOL accredited with 6 hours observed teaching practice), I have worked as an EFL teacher in a variety of contexts - including groups and private tuition - developing excellent communicational, organisational and classroom management skills.

Rose has been my English tutors for several weeks now. We started face to face but moved to online sessions given the pandemic. It has still been very enjoyable too, and actually quite convenient to do them this way. I find our weekly sessions fun and interesting, and I feel I have progressed well since we started.
