About Ananya

I’m 22 who has completed her post-grad from the University of Manchester. I spent 18 years growing up in Dubai, though my roots are in Kerala, India. With 17 years of training in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi—and plenty of self-taught Kathak and Bollywood moves—dance is my biggest passion. I even won the group-dance competition at Jashn, Dubai’s inter-college festival. Now I love passing that energy on to others, whether you’re learning your first steps or polishing a full routine.

About the lesson

Trained in Indian classical dance for over 17 years, I specialise in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Bollywood and semi-classical styles, with additional self-taught Kathak experience. I’ve performed with the University of Manchester Advanced Indian Dance Team, and I love helping students master everything from foundational steps to full stage-ready choreographies. What I offer Levels: complete beginners to advanced performers Formats: 1-to-1, small group, online (Zoom) or in-person around Manchester Focus areas: technique breakdown, expression (abhinaya), stamina drills, wedding/special-event pieces Resources: personalised practice videos and written notes after each lesson Languages of Instruction: English (primary) – can also teach in Hindi and Malayalam My teaching style is energetic, supportive and tailored to your pace.
