About Gerald
My writing and public speaking skills have been honed over the years in my various roles in sports' and political administration. This involved writing for newspapers and magazines as well as formal documents and presentations.
A love of the English language encouraged me to complete a TEFL 300 hour Business English Diploma as I have had business interests for many years.
I understand the needs of the business English student and believe that I can be more than an English teacher by becoming a consultant as well for those wishing to improve their work prospects or expand their existing business.

Specialising in Business English I use my experience as a Business Consultant to get to know the particular professional interests of my students. This is achieved by asking the student to complete a needs analysis form indicating their level of English and the skills they most want to improve on.
The analysis will describe the precise business area the student is working or hoping to work in and it will outline the student's other interests as well.
The information will allow me to create a syllabus tailored to the student's exact needs. Some of the material will be provided by the learner making for interesting classes.
I realise that for some business people time is precious and that a degree of flexibility is required when organising classes.
300 hr TEFL business English Diploma and 40 + years of business experience.
