About Andrew
I became an English tutor due to my love of travel. I am blessed to have a deep-rooted passion that gives me a true purpose in life. Now for some honesty - I cannot travel if I am unable to support myself and I find that travelling and language tuition work very well together, giving me the freedom to explore the world. In order to continue exploring the world I must also continue to be the best tutor I can possibly be. I want to be a positive example for students through support and encouragement. If I am not working hard to be a great tutor then I cannot expect students to do the same. Tutoring has been my main focus for the past 2.5 years and I have really taken the time to study hard and receive a respectable certification so I can say with confidence that I know what I am doing. Confidence plays a huge part in learning a language. My role is not only to be a tutor but also a coach and a guide. I want students to know my lessons are a relaxed, judgement-free space. I truly care about your progress. Lessons are all about you and I want you to be able to go into any situation with confidence! I have a professional background in logistics management - spending 7 years working for a trading company. I can assist not only with English in meetings and presentations but also with commonly used vocabulary in your day-to-day working environment. For the past 2.5 years I have almost exclusively helped adults or teens with conversation skills, preparing for IELTS exams or looking to move to English-speaking countries for their profession or future career goals. I enjoy tutoring self-motivated students and can provide lessons in exam preparation, skills and confidence building as well as systems improvement (that is grammar and vocab). I have helped many students between B1 and C2 level but would also enjoy tutoring students who want to improve to a B1 level.

I am a native British English tutor with almost 2000 English lessons provided to adults and teenagers over the past 2.5 years. My schedule is flexible and we can arrange our first lesson at a time that suits you. My classes are aimed at adults and young adults of all levels. I take a humanistic approach - I truly care about your progress. Lessons are all about you and I want you to be able to go into any situation with confidence! We can work together to build a course to develop your English in a way that works for you. We can set fun, achievable targets and work towards your success together. I provide additional study material for courses targeting IELTS speaking preparation, English in the workplace and self-esteem/confidence building. These are my specialist areas. Lessons are typically 50 minutes long with a 10 minute cool down.
