About Arlene
I am a retired Language Arts, reading, and ESL teacher. I spent 42 years in education as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. Since retirement , I have tutored several students, most of whom had significant learning disabilities. Whether they were homeschooled or attended public/private school, they all found success through their partnership with me, as we worked together to build their skills as well as their self-confidence.

I absolutely love teaching! I can make lessons come alive with exciting, creative ideas personalized to a student’s interests. I have worked with a wide range of students, from primary students struggling with reading, middle school students who need a boost in their reading and writing skills, to high schoolers taking honors and AP classes.
