About Sarang

My name is Sarang Ponkshe. I am a FIDE-rated chess player with over 20 years of professional playing experience and more than 10 years of teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I specialise in making chess clear, engaging, and practical, helping students build strong foundations while developing confidence and independent thinking at the board.

I enjoy working with motivated learners from diverse backgrounds and supporting them in achieving their individual chess goals. I believe chess is more than a game—it fosters focus, discipline, creativity, and strong decision-making skills that extend far beyond the board. I offer flexible, personalised lessons, both one-on-one and in small groups, for students who are eager to learn and improve in a supportive environment.
