About Lyllian
Hello! I'm Lyllian and I'm from Dongguan, a city in southern China near Hong Kong. I have been living in the UK for the past 4 years, coming here to study a Master's degree in Psychology and Education.
I have worked as a senior Chinese teacher in two secondary schools in China as well as an EAL tutor and a maths teacher in the UK.
I enjoy reading, playing badminton as well as travelling and I am also passionate about music. My other main hobby is creating hand crafts, including embroidery and making handmade felt decorations.
I speak 4 different languages including Mandarin, Cantonese and English as well as my home language, Miao. Therefore as a lifelong learner of languages I can use my skills to help you get the most from your lessons.

Lessons are themed around real-world scenarios that you will face in daily life whether for travel, business or a Mandarin exam to help you quickly pick up practical vocabulary and sentences.
You will feel immersed in Chinese culture in conjunction with developing your language skills. I have explored the whole of China and have widely read ancient and modern Chinese texts as both part of my professional life as a senior Chinese teacher and for recreation.
I hold a 1st class degree in Chinese Language and Literature and have worked as a Chinese teacher in two secondary schools in China.
