About Greyson
Hi! I’m Greyson, a fourth-year clarinet performance major at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where I study with Eli Eban. While at IU, I’ve had the opportunity to perform in orchestras, bands, the Music Scoring for Visual Media ensemble and premiere dozens of new works by student composers. In addition to my work at IU, I also perform with regional professional orchestras such as the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. Before college, I served as the solo bass clarinetist for three years with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and was selected as a Texas All-State Clarinetist three years in a row. My main teachers have included Eli Eban, Sam Boutris, and Howard Klug. I love helping students grow their confidence and musical voice—whether you’re just getting started or preparing for auditions.

My teaching style is centered around an entirely musical approach to the clarinet, bass clarinet, or saxophone. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to meet each individual’s needs—whether that means focusing on building solid fundamentals, or exploring repertoire that excites and motivates them. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to grow, make mistakes, and develop their unique musical voice. Ultimately, my goal is to help students become artists and find joy in their playing.
