About Martha
From my own experiences at school, and several further education courses, I can empathise with how hard it can be! Balancing the workload, struggling with certain subjects and day-to-day school life can be overwhelming. So I create fun lessons that make learning the harder subjects more enjoyable. Each student has different capabilities and personalities, so I tailor my teaching style and go at a pace that suits them. I have found this very effective with many of the students I have worked with as it creates a positive working environment. I would love to be able to provide tuition as I have personally received the benefits of having a passionate teacher! I offer 1:1 English tutoring for KS3 and GCSE students. I can cover any material included in the school's curriculum and tailor each session to the student's needs. Sessions are online and 60-90 minutes depending on your preference. I could arrange in-person sessions for those living in Tamworth, Wilnecote, Whittington and Lichfield. I'm a full-time cover teacher working in secondary schools in Tamworth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Birmingham, Access to Higher Education Diploma in psychology, A-Level English language and literature, GCSEs including a 9 in English language and a 7 in English literature. I also have experience working with students with ADHD and autism diagnoses at SEN and mainstream schools.
