About Syed

Hi, I’m Abdul, a CPA based in Alberta with 14 years of professional experience in Canadian accounting and taxation.

My day-to-day work covers personal and corporate tax for small businesses, financial statements, bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online. That means I don’t just know the theory from your textbook; I apply it with real clients and real CRA rules every week.

I hold an MBA, so I know what university accounting courses demand. I remember how overwhelming topics like consolidations, deferred taxes or corporate tax integration can feel the first time you see them. My goal is to make that material clear, manageable and even interesting.

Students tell me I’m patient, well organized and good at explaining the “why” behind the numbers. I take pride in being reliable, responding quickly and showing up prepared for every session.

About the lesson

I’m a CPA with 14 years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, financial planning and Analysis, bookkeeping and ERP systems. I help university students turn confusing course material into concepts they can apply on exams and coursework.

How I teach: Every student is at a different point, so I start with what you’re working on right now, whether that’s this week’s problem set, a case analysis due soon, or a midterm coming up. I explain the reasoning behind each rule, then we work through problems step by step until you can do them on your own.

A typical lesson: We review where you’re stuck, go over the key concept, walk through similar practice problems together, and check your approach on your current work so you submit it with confidence.

Who it’s for: University students in introductory, intermediate and advanced accounting, Canadian personal and corporate tax, managerial accounting, auditing, and accounting information systems courses.

What sets me apart: I work with real CRA rules and real client files, so I can show you how course topics work in practice. Flexible scheduling means I can fit sessions around your deadlines.
