About Amy
I am a dedicated Early Childhood Educator and Community Language School Teacher with nearly 10 years of experience working in Australia. I also previously worked as a Primary School teacher in China, which gave me a strong foundation in teaching Mandarin and understanding how children learn best at different stages of development.
I am passionate about teaching Mandarin because I enjoy helping students build confidence in communication and discover the joy of learning a new language. Over the years, I have worked with learners from kindergarten through their teenage years. And I find great satisfaction in supporting their language growth and personal development.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I combine structured teaching methods with engaging, play-based learning to create lessons that are both effective and enjoyable. My goal is to make Mandarin learning a positive, encouraging, and meaningful experience for every student.
I also believe learning a language is not just about the language itself, but also about the culture behind it. In my lessons, I integrate Chinese cultural elements such as festivals, traditional legends, and classical Chinese poetry to provide students with a rich and immersive learning experience.

I use a play-based and interactive teaching approach(Songs, games, storytelling, picture books, etc.) especially for young learners. My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs.
Each lesson typically runs for 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and attention span.
I have nearly 10 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator and a Community Language School Teacher in Australia. I also worked as a Primary School teacher in China, which has given me a strong foundation in teaching Chinese as a language. I am passionate about teaching Mandarin and combining structured teaching methods with engaging, play-based learning to suit each student’s needs.
