Hi! I’m Samita Shanmugam, a passionate and caring Early Childhood Education graduate who truly loves working with children. I became a teacher because I believe that every child deserves to feel confident, curious, and excited about learning. My tutoring approach focuses on creating a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment for children. I believe young learners understand concepts better when lessons are interactive, simple, and enjoyable. I use techniques such as phonics practice, storytelling, visual aids, flashcards, and small learning games to help children stay focused and interested during the lesson.
A typical lesson usually lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour. I begin with a short warm-up activity, continue with the main learning task such as reading, writing, or basic mathematics, and end with a short review to make sure the child understands the lesson.
I hold a Degree in Early Childhood Education and have experience teaching young children in preschool settings. My lessons are suitable for preschool and primary school students aged 4 to 10 years old, especially those who need help with English reading, phonics, basic writing, early mathematics, and homework support. My goal is to help children build confidence and enjoy learning.
