About Alison
Hi there! My name is Ali Benedetti and I am here to help your child be successful in their literary/language journey. I am an experienced MCPS educator with 17 years experience. I taught K-2nd grade for 15 years and currently teach 6-8th grade health. I have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland & a Master's in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins. I truly believe that in order for a child to be successful academically, they need to first feel secure emotionally with their teacher. Once a child/teen feels it is “safe” to make a mistake? That’s when the real learning takes place. Building a relationship with my clients (whether they are 5 or 15) is of the utmost importance to me.
