About Christopher
I am a University Graduate with a degree in English Literature and Composition. I also have the Certificate IV in TESOL required to teach in Australia.
I have taught in Australia, South East Asia and Korea for many years in schools and for private companies, in the classroom and online, teaching TESOL, English Literature, Educational English, Business English and History.
As a long time English as a Second Language teacher, I am often appalled at the online teaching conditions offered by other companies. Large classes, bored or stressed teachers and a need to push through curriculum ensure that many students don’t receive the attention they need to fully understand topics covered. Students are easily lost and unable to participate fully in further classes because no time was given to them to be sure of their understanding.
My wife was an English language learner studying with a large company, and I was often shocked at how often her knowledge was never tested, how little teachers involved her in the class, and how often she asked me for guidance her teachers failed to give. This experience has inspired me to offer an alternative; a classroom experience that delivers results by constantly involving student participation, testing for understanding, and extra help when needed. The smaller classes of Eyrie Education ensure that no one is left behind. We march to the top of the learning mountain together.

My History
I am a University Graduate with a degree in English Literature and Composition. I also have the Certificate IV in TESOL required to teach in Australia and a Diploma of Arts in Professional Writing and Editing.
I have taught in Australia, South East Asia and Korea for many years in schools and for private companies, in the classroom and online, teaching TESOL, English Literature, Educational English, Business English and History.
My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe in placing the student at the forefront of the learning experience. This allows the student to work deeply with learning material, aiding memory retention and giving students the confidence to use their new skills outside the classroom.
Students are placed in classes according to their current ability and needs, ensuring a relevant curriculum designed to help students take their current knowledge to a higher level.
We believe that education should be enjoyable. Students have better learning outcomes if they are focused and eager to learn.

My Lessons:
An average lesson runs for an hour, though 30 minute lessons can be arranged.
Lessons contain up to four students, though one on one lessons can be arranged.
My lessons are exclusively online.
My lessons are for all students of age 9 and higher.
