About Simon

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I am a highly experienced English teacher and academic manager with over 10 years of international teaching experience, including work at embassies, international schools, and online platforms. I specialize in helping learners improve their fluency, pronunciation, and confidence in real-life communication. My lessons are professional, engaging, and tailored to your needs—whether you are a university student preparing for exams, a professional aiming to advance your career, or someone simply wanting to sound more natural in English. With my background in both classroom teaching and academic management, you can be confident that you are learning from someone who understands how to design lessons that deliver results. I take pride in creating a supportive, motivating atmosphere where every student feels encouraged to grow. Together, we will unlock your potential and help you achieve your goals in English.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor

I believe that learning English should be both practical and enjoyable. My teaching method is highly student-centred, meaning I adapt each lesson to the learner’s goals, level, and interests. I combine task-based learning, communicative practice, and pronunciation training to help students not only learn English but also use it confidently in real situations.

Teaching Methods and Techniques

Task-Based Learning (TBLT): Students learn by completing real-life tasks such as presentations, debates, or problem-solving activities.

Pronunciation & Fluency Work: Special focus on speaking naturally and clearly, including accent reduction and posh British pronunciation if desired.

Vocabulary Expansion: Use of synonyms, collocations, and idioms to make language richer and more academic or professional.

Error Correction & Feedback: Constructive, supportive feedback that helps learners improve without interrupting their flow.

A Typical Lesson Plan

Warm-Up (5 minutes): Quick speaking activity to get students comfortable and focused.

Core Focus (30 minutes): Guided practice on the main topic (e.g. Business English emails, interview skills, pronunciation drills, or academic writing).

Interactive Task (15 minutes): Roleplay, problem-solving, or discussion that applies the lesson in a real-world context.

Feedback & Reflection (10 minutes): Correcting errors, highlighting progress, and setting small goals for the next session.

What Sets Me Apart

Over 10 years of international teaching experience across schools, embassies, and online platforms.

Currently working as an Academic Manager, giving me deep insight into curriculum design and exam preparation.

Experience teaching students from different cultural and professional backgrounds, including embassy staff, business managers, and university students.

Ability to help students achieve clear, confident, and professional English—whether for academic success, business growth, or everyday conversation.

Who My Lessons Are For

Adults and professionals seeking to improve fluency, pronunciation, and business communication.

University students preparing for presentations, exams, or academic writing.

Intermediate to advanced learners (B1–C2) who want to refine their English and sound more natural.

Learners who want to stand out with polished, confident, and effective English.
