About Lucy
I am an experienced teacher and alongside the Head of Department, I am responsible for the delivery of English at my school. This experience allows me to engage with students of all levels and abilities.
I have a proven track record of delivering grade 4 and above grades for students within my classes.
Alongside my day to day role as a teacher, I am also an experienced examiner, working for a National exam board. I have experience marking both literature and language specifications.
I am a dedicated teacher and I pride myself on making English engaging and accessible for students.

A typical lesson will cover the groundwork of a topic, as well as revisiting key knowledge a student already knows - in order to make sure nothing is forgotten.
There should be plenty of time for students to practise the knowledge they are gaining and then my input will be through providing students with an expert model of writing or reading and deconstructing this to allow students to see what makes a good piece of writing.

If I am required to travel to a students house, a lot of my fee will cover fuel and also the printing of materials.
If online or at my home, the fee could be negotiated down, as the cost of the lesson is minimised.
