About Charlotte

I have always been passionate about literature and creative writing, and I love bringing that enthusiasm into my lessons! Some of my favorite writers include John Steinbeck, Shakespeare, and anything with dragons or magic! I strive to inspire my students to engage with texts critically and creatively, making reading and writing enjoyable and rewarding.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me baking, decorating, or watching Gladiators with my family!

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach & Methodology
I provide a fully tailored learning experience, designed to meet the specific needs of each student. My lessons are differentiated to support areas for development while setting clear targets to track progress. I focus on identifying areas for improvement and stretching students to reach their full potential in a structured, engaging, and supportive environment.

Lesson Structure & Duration
Each session is planned to ensure maximum progress, combining explanations, discussions, practical exercises, and feedback. Lessons typically last one hour, with flexibility based on student needs.

My Qualifications & Experience
I have been teaching in Secondary Schools since 2013 and have worked as a private tutor since 2019, supporting students in the classroom and one-to-one settings. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a strong academic background, including:

BA (Hons) in English Literature from University of Southampton
Master’s in Publishing from UCL

With over a decade of experience, I have successfully guided students through KS3, GCSE, and A-Level exams, helping them improve confidence, refine skills, and achieve top results. I am experienced in teaching all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and iGCSE, ensuring students are fully prepared for their assessments.
