I had Lena as a student when she was already an English teacher, but wanted to improve her skills, and I was deeply impressed by her knowledge of the English language and her enthusiasm for improving her English and western cultural knowledge, as well as her love of learning yet more languages, like Spanish. She is a conscientious and responsible person who has recently escaped the Russian-occupied region of southern Ukraine, yet has remained focused and steadfast in creating a new life as a refugee in the west.
