About Eleanor
I graduated from The University of Edinburgh as one of the finest students in my cohort, receiving First Class Honours with a Distinction in Spoken Russian for my degree. I am currently completing my Master's in Global Financial Journalism at City, University of London. On professional terms, testimony to my skills in English literature and language is perhaps best highlighted in the fact that I was selected to be an upcoming Bloomberg New Reporter, an incredibly competitive role. Beyond this, I have undertaken work with business desk of The Times. In terms of relevant experience, I have worked in 2 schools (Dulwich College Junior School and Bessemer Grange Primary School) so I have a great deal of teaching experience. I have also been a part of developing a tutoring site so I know exactly what students look for in a tutor.

My teaching methods incorporate encouragement and challenging stimulation to really improve the abilities of the students I teach. A usual English lesson with me will include a NYT word game, reading texts and practising comprehension, ending with discussing language nuances and meanings - and probably a game of Scrabble to test what we have learnt... My skill set is most apt for students doing the 11+ or other private school entry tests, including interview practice. Happy to help students navigate GCSEs and A-Levels too.

Deadly! Fantastic. Eleanor is very professional and customises English lessons perfectly for both my 6 and 8 year old. She puts a lot of effort into lesson planning and also sends a debrief afterwards. We are very happy indeed that we found her, a real gem!
