I have worked in several writing centers (as a tutor); I've helped with papers in a variety of subject areas. I have a professional teaching certificate. I have also written a book. I can workshop your paper and show you the revision process. If you feel apprehensive about writing, I can help you. Remember, every expert was once an unsteady beginner.

I begin by asking what exactly the assignment is; I would like to see a copy if possible. In writing tutoring, my goal is not just to help produce a particular assignment but to teach the writing process. Surface error correction is a late-revision activity. We begin by working on content and organization. I like working with college students, including adult learners, but I work well with secondary students too.
