About Charlotte
I have educated a variety of EFL classes from a range of age groups (3rd Primary – Baccalaureate.) It have experience in planning and providing enjoyable lessons in both academic and conversational English. As well as organise personal paper work such as weekly records of work. From this position I am acquiring a range of creative teaching skills to ensure students enjoy learning EFL skills in the 4 skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. In order to prepare for examinations such as Cambridge exams.
I have also taught students from A1-C1 level. I ensured these lessons involved grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and practical language. The background knowledge I acquired from my MA Linguistics Diploma assisted me in understanding and facilitating correct phonetic pronunciation of English Lexis to teach to my students. As well as an in depth teaching of syntax, which was based upon my educational background in Linguistics.

think enthusiasm is a key component which engages learners of all ages. Particularly if students are in class in the late or early hours of the day, it’s essential to be positive and approachable for learners to engage in activities. An interactive Task Based Learning exercise gives students the opportunity to seek answers for themselves which is great when learners can engage in self-gratification. A Skills and Systems approach also works well, which allows language practice with peers or to the teachers in a conversation context. This ensures pupils do not only feel talked to in lessons. This can be achieved through jigsaw readings and grammar games where students must correct errors made by the teacher.
