About Byron
I graduated High School in 2024 with an ATAR of 81 and currently maintain a 6.125 GPA at QUT in my Communications and Justice studies.
I have a passion for writing and have worked as a freelance reporter, writing news, paid editorials and even a theatre review!
I work within QUT's Student Success team working in peer support, often providing assistance to university students who are studying things well out of my sphere of knowledge.
I do not want to engage with you simply as a teacher, but more so as a peer. This is because I understand the struggle that committing to a topic, managing time and completing an essay can be!
I want my legitimacy is based less on my academic achievements and experience, but more so on my passion for writing, as it is something I truly enjoy doing and wish to help others find similar enjoyment in the content and tasks.

My lessons are suitable for Year 7-12 students who need assistance in tackling English or other written subject essays.
Our first meeting would involve going through the specific content that we as a team will then work through. Here I will break down tasks in a more understandable way and hear what you may need more assistance in.
In following lessons, I will utilize an "I Do, We Do, You Do" Framework, to better model the skill whilst providing real-time feedback.
With this, I will use inquiry-based questioning to ensure that you are truly understanding of the content we are learning together.
My lessons can range anywhere from 60-120 minutes and be conducted either in person or over video call.
I am new to tutoring but work within peer support at my university and have always aspired to help other students enjoy a subject I have so much passion for!
