About Paul
I studied French with Italian at Southampton University, and spent 6 months in Agen as a Language Assistant in a large Lycee. After graduating, I have worked for two Major French companies in France Telecom and Canal +. I have an excellent understanding of how French works as a language and how we can connect, understand and appreciate it - as well as become highly proficient with it. I work with both school and prep school students and Adults wishing to learn the language, spirit and culture of France.

As a qualified Development Coach after my business career, I start with assessing where the student is with their French and what their growth goals are. Next, we work out learning styles and develop an agreed plan on how we are going to work together and the level of effort required. I then use a variety of techniques that help students connect with the language, and take the anxiety out of speaking and conversing in French. I help students learn the vocabulary, understand sentence construction and idioms in a way that is fun, memorable and repeatable. With all this in place, we ensure that we know what is required for the level the student is at, and then continue to grow.
