About Elise
Hi, I'm Élise! Originally from Quebec, I taught French to public service employees through Université Sainte-Anne, particularly those at Veterans Affairs Canada. I helped many learners reach their required language levels while building confidence and discovering the pleasure of learning French. I welcome both adults and children. I bring warmth, humor, and encouragement to my teaching. What I love most is sparking an interest that stays with students beyond our lessons.

Learning French can feel intimidating, so I want my lessons to be a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing yourself. I adapt each lesson to your level, interests, and goals, whether you're learning for everyday life, work, or a role in the federal government. Lessons combine conversation, practical exercises, and support with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I bring warmth, patience, and a sense of humor to my teaching. Encouragement is part of my approach: I listen to what you need, help you recognize your progress, and support you in building confidence while making the most of our time together.
