About Marianne
Experienced languages teacher, with 2 years teaching MFL to GCSE level in UK schools and extensive experience teaching English overseas beforehand. Languages have opened so many doors for me and I feel really lucky to be able to do the same for others!
I primarily work with young people looking for extra support with their school qualifications but also really enjoy 121 adult tutoring.

My students describe me as fun & encouraging but with high standards. I am a big believer in breaking learning down into small steps to make it manageable and build students’ confidence, languages are too often seen as intimidating but with the right teacher there is really no need! As well as 2 years teaching Spanish in UK schools, I have worked as an English tutor for both children & adults while living overseas. I really enjoy the 121 tutoring experience as it allows me to build a strong relationship with the student and adapt my lessons for their interests & skills, with a particular focus in listening & speaking that is hard to achieve in a normal classroom. If you have a specific skill focus in mind, please let me know so we can discuss how best to meet your needs.
I primarily offer tutoring for the AQA exam and can offer specific feedback for the AQA exams. That said I am prepared to help with other exam boards as well if needed.
