About Siobhan
I am a dedicated guitarist and performer with years of hands-on experience playing, writing, and understanding music. My own journey with the guitar started exactly where many of my students are—staring at a fretboard and wondering how to make it sound like my favourite records. Overcoming those early hurdles myself gave me a deep understanding of how to teach others effectively.
I absolutely love the guitar because it is one of the most expressive and versatile instruments in the world. It can fit into any genre, match any mood, and serve as the perfect creative outlet. I choose to teach because I want to demystify the instrument for my students. There is nothing better than watching someone go from struggling with a single chord to fluidly playing a song they love with confidence and a smile.

My guitar lessons are completely tailored to your musical tastes, focusing on getting you playing your favourite songs from day one. I believe that learning an instrument should be exciting, not a chore filled with dry exercises. We will bypass boring drills and instead focus on the core chords, strumming patterns, and rhythm techniques needed to play the music you love, whether that is pop, rock, folk, or blues.
I break down complex chord transitions into simple, bite-sized finger movements that are easy to practise at home. We will learn how to read simple guitar tabs, master basic fingerpicking, and build up your rhythm and timing in a completely relaxed, pressure-free environment. Whether you have never picked up a guitar before or want to shake off some rust, I adapt my pacing to make sure you enjoy every single session.
