About Josh
My name is Josh and I have been a History teacher for 8 years, and a Head of Department for 4 years.
I have a Masters degree in Education and have completed various other national courses which have inspired me to continue my own educational journey. I have examined for multiple exam boards and gained a strong insight into accurate assessment.
I enjoy helping pupils ‘get it’ and love to use my approaches to help transform pupil understanding and unlock their potential and historical confidence.

A research driven approach to reinforce core knowledge through varied recall activities and a focus on improving literacy skills and application of knowledge in direct reference to the exam board mark schemes.
A varied approach ensures an engaging and personal approach to learning to support not only application of skills but also a meta-cognitive understanding of the requirements of the exams. I use my experience as an examiner to support these activities.
All lessons are personalised and I will work with you to identify key areas for development and focus to help you achieve your goals in your examinations.
