Hello! My name is Wendy, and I’m a passionate and dedicated violin tutor who loves helping beginners discover the joy of music. With years of experience performing in school orchestras and youth ensembles, I understand what it takes to build confidence, skill, and love for the violin—starting from the very first note. I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're just starting out—trying to hold the bow right, read unfamiliar music, or make a clean sound—and it seems like no one is there to guide you. I’ve been there. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to be the kind of teacher I once needed: someone who is patient, encouraging, and committed to helping you grow at your own pace. About My Teaching Approach – Wendy's Beginner Violin Lessons

Hi! I'm Wendy, and I specialize in teaching beginner violin students of all ages who are just starting their musical journey. My approach is all about making music enjoyable, accessible, and encouraging from day one. I believe that a strong foundation leads to confident playing, so I focus on building solid technique, ear training, and musical expression in a fun and supportive environment.

Teaching Method & Techniques
I use a blend of traditional and modern teaching methods, depending on the student’s learning style. This includes:

-Step-by-step instruction on posture, bow hold, finger placement, and tone production
-Simple songs and rhythm games to keep lessons engaging and hands-on
-Sight reading and basic music theory woven into lessons naturally
-Encouragement and positive reinforcement to build confidence and motivation
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson (usually 30 to 45 minutes) includes:

-Warm-up exercises for finger and bow control
-Review of previous material and checking progress
-New technique or song introduction
-Fun practice activity or game to reinforce skills
-Mini performance or goal-setting for the week ahead

I provide customized practice plans and occasional take-home worksheets to help students stay on track between lessons.
