About Lydia
I am a friendly, approachable and experienced History teacher with 7 years of teaching experience in both the UK and internationally. I hold a First-Class History Degree, a Master’s degree and a PGDE. I am passionate about helping students feel more confident in History and creating a supportive environment where they can ask questions, develop their ideas and achieve their potential. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their individual needs and adapt my teaching accordingly.

I offer engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each student’s needs, using a combination of discussion, questioning, exam practice and clear explanations to build both knowledge and confidence.
Lessons typically last between 30 and 60 minutes and are suitable for secondary school students, including GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level History.
I adapt my approach to each student, whether they need support with understanding content, developing essay-writing skills, preparing for exams or building confidence in History.
