About Ashling

have a strong passion for design and thoroughly enjoy working in the Interior and Kitchen Design industry. Alongside my professional experience, I value the role that guidance and support can play in a student’s development, having personally benefited from tutoring prior to entering university.

I am approachable, patient, and organized, and I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace. My goal is to guide you step by step through the learning process, whether you're preparing for Leaving Certificate Art or building a portfolio for further education.

I believe design is a rewarding and creative field, and I aim to help students build both the confidence and skills needed to progress successfully along their chosen path.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m a qualified Interior & Furniture Designer with a Bachelor's degree from Technological University Dublin, alongside a background in Fine Art and additional interior design training. I have several years of professional experience working in design roles, where I regularly developed visual concepts, presented ideas, and guided clients through creative decision-making processes.

I offer online tutoring in Art & Design for Leaving Certificate students, as well as portfolio preparation for students applying to art and design courses.

Subjects & Areas I Cover:

• Leaving Certificate Art (practical and theory support)
• Sketching, drawing, and observational skills
• Composition, layout, and visual analysis
• Color theory and material understanding
• Portfolio development and presentation
• Interior and spatial design fundamentals
• Concept development and creative thinking
• Project structure and organization

About me:

My professional background in interior and kitchen design has given me strong experience in visual communication, design presentation, and explaining ideas clearly to others. I also have experience delivering presentations and guiding individuals through creative processes, which I bring into my teaching approach.

-Lessons are delivered online
-Flexible hours on Tuesdays, Evening hours Monday & Wednesday- Friday. Available on weekends on request.
