About Myriem
With over five years of experience teaching English (ESL), French, and Arabic, I am passionate about helping students gain confidence and fluency in a supportive, engaging, and culturally rich learning environment. My lessons are built on respect, patience, and professionalism — values that allow each learner to progress comfortably at their own pace. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) from Hunter College (CUNY) and a Master’s in Humanities and Social Sciences from Al Akhawayn University, I have taught languages at the university level and worked internationally as an interpreter and translator, experiences that deepen my understanding of communication and cultural nuances. My approach blends structure with creativity: I design lessons that are clear, interactive, and tailored to your personal goals — whether academic, professional, or conversational. I believe that language learning is not only about words and grammar, but also about connection, confidence, and cultural understanding. My Teaching Approach
As a multilingual educator with over five years of experience teaching ESL, French, and Arabic, my approach is rooted in communication, cultural awareness, and learner-centered methods. I believe language is best learned through authentic interaction — by connecting grammar and vocabulary to real-life contexts that matter to each student.
Teaching Methods & Techniques
I use a Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach combined with task-based learning. Lessons are interactive and focused on developing the four core skills — speaking, listening, reading, and writing — while building confidence and fluency. I also integrate cultural immersion, songs, videos, and role-play to make learning dynamic and relevant.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up / Conversation starter – Engaging the student with a question or short dialogue.
Presentation – Introducing a grammar point, theme, or vocabulary set.
Practice – Guided exercises, listening or reading comprehension activities.
Production – Free speaking or writing task (role-play, debate, or short composition).
Feedback & Reflection – Correcting gently, highlighting progress, and assigning personalized follow-up tasks.
