About Marija
Hi, I’m a second-year Law student studying in Oxford. I really love living here it’s such a beautiful city and there’s always something going on for students.
Outside of uni, I love thrifting clothes and fashion! Spending time with animals, and painting whenever I can. It helps me switch off and be creative alongside my studies.
I also really enjoy my degree and feel passionate about where it could take me. In the future, I’d love to work in the human rights sector, hopefully within international organisations, and be part of something that actually makes a difference.
I wanted to get into tutoring because, growing up, I never really felt like I had the right teachers or tutors for my learning style it often felt boring and unmotivating. Because of that, I’m really focused on making sure my students actually enjoy learning. I try to bring creative, engaging ways into sessions so they feel more memorable, less like a chore, and something they can feel confident in.

I am a second-year Law student at Oxford Brookes University with a strong academic background in English, Psychology, and Law, achieving a grade 9 in GCSE English. I would like to say I am a fun character and genuinely enjoy helping children thrive, and to be a positive role model outside of tutoring sessions.
I tutor English and Maths for children from Reception to Year 8, including primary school support and 11+ preparation. I help develop skills in reading, comprehension, writing, and core maths, tailoring each session to the child’s individual needs. I am confident working with children of all abilities and backgrounds, and have experience supporting children with additional needs, including Down syndrome. I am also fluent in Lithuanian.
My approach focuses on making learning enjoyable and engaging. From my own experience, I understand tutoring can sometimes feel like a chore, so I aim to create sessions that children genuinely look forward to while building confidence and strong foundations.
Alongside my studies, I have a passion for working with children and hope to teach internationally after graduating before progressing into a legal career.

Hi everyone! Marija has been a close family friend of mine for a long time, and has tutored her extended family friend in both Lithuanian and English.
