About Reid
I also teach Spanish and have a strong academic and personal background in modern languages. I speak English, Spanish and French and am currently teaching myself Italian, giving me first-hand experience of learning and communicating across different languages. I graduated with a First-Class undergraduate degree and this year I am studying for a Master’s at the University of Cambridge.
My teaching places particular emphasis on mastering difficult psychological concepts, applying research and studies effectively, and developing sophisticated analysis.

I have five years experience teaching A-Level Psychology and have helped numerous students achieve A* and A grades, with many progressing to Russell Group universities. I regularly mark longer-answer questions and essays, giving detailed feedback on how students can improve their structure, use of evidence, evaluation and overall argument.
We work through past-paper questions step by step and at the student’s own pace, identifying exactly where marks are being lost and addressing any confusion before moving on. This gives us the time to spend longer on difficult theories, studies or concepts that can be challenging to explore fully in larger school classes.
I also aim to make each A-Level module more engaging. Alongside the specification, we can explore relevant experiments, studies, videos and real-world examples that students may not encounter in class. This strengthens their understanding of the subject while giving them additional material and perspectives to develop the sophisticated analysis and evaluation required for the highest grades.
